When I moved to Seoul, I gave up both my mom’s custom made kitchen and a city where it was surprisingly easy to find anything from lemongrass to smoked paprika. Now I’m learning to cook in what is truly a tiny urban kitchen, and in a city that caters to only one kind of cuisine. This is a blog about the meals I make using one burner, one toaster oven, very few tools and lots of ingredients I can’t identify. But I will surely share other stories I have about discovering Seoul, learning Korean and other fun things about my life here.

My burner (and vintage kettle)

My oversized toaster oven

My tools

And my itsy-bitsy pantry

I also have about one sq. foot of counter space, two pots, two frying pans and one mixing bowl, and I’m going to try to avoid buying anything else, unless absolutely necessary.
